Frances McMillan

Governance and Company Secretary

Frances joined the OLA in September 2022 and brings transferrable skills to the role of Governance Professional from fifteen years’ experience in the commercial environments of finance and procurement.  Frances holds a Chartered Governance Institute Level 4 Certificate in Academy Governance and ensures the Trust continues to operate within the legal and regulatory framework set by the Companies Act 2006 and the Charities Commission. 

Frances is instrumental in facilitating good governance through utilisation of a Trust-wide governance platform and aligned systems and continues to work closely with the Board of Trustees, LGBs, Executive Team and Headtachers to identify areas of development, reduce risk and ensure best practice and compliance.
