Hundreds come together for Waingels Woodley Run Fest

There was a fantastic atmosphere at Waingels School on Sunday as hundreds of runners, volunteers, families and supporters took part in the inaugural Woodley Run Fest. The event welcomed people of all ages, from young children tackling the 2km race to experienced runners taking on the 5km and 10km events.

As part of The Orchard Learning Alliance, it was particularly pleasing to see families from across our trust schools getting involved. We were also proud to spot a staff team from Churchend on the start line, joining students, parents, governors and local residents for a day that brought the wider community together.

The event showcased everything that makes Waingels such a special part of the local area. Whether people were running, volunteering or cheering from the sidelines, there was a real sense of community throughout the day.
