The Orchard Learning Alliance is delighted to celebrate a positive outcome for Churchend Primary Academy, following its latest Ofsted inspection, which found the school is meeting the expected standard across all areas of the new inspection framework.
Inspectors described Churchend as a “warm, welcoming school”, highlighting that pupils are proud to attend, feel safe and enjoy being part of the school community. The report also recognised the positive relationships across the school, noting that pupils are courteous, behave well and approach their learning positively.

The inspection found that the school meets expected standards in achievement, behaviour and attendance, teaching, early years, inclusion, leadership, pupils’ personal development and safeguarding.
Strong academic outcomes were also recognised. Over the past three years, reading and mathematics results have remained above national averages, reflecting the hard work of pupils and staff and the school's commitment to high standards.
Inspectors also praised the support provided for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, alongside the opportunities available beyond the classroom through clubs, enrichment activities and educational visits.

As part of the Orchard Learning Alliance, Churchend benefits from a collaborative approach to school improvement, professional development and sharing best practice across our family of schools. This latest outcome reflects both the dedication of the Churchend community and the strength of working together to provide the best possible education and opportunities for every child.
This achievement is a testament to the commitment of pupils, staff, governors and families, who work together every day to create a supportive, inclusive and ambitious learning environment.
Congratulations to everyone at Churchend Primary Academy on this fantastic recognition.
