The academy places a strong focus on academic attainment and improvement in every subject through a rigorous, knowledge-rich curriculum that reflects the values of its multicultural community.

We want every pupil to develop a lifelong love of learning and be well-prepared for their transition to secondary school.

Working in partnership with parents, staff and the wider community, Churchend Primary Academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum that caters for a wide range of abilities and individual needs. The school's extensive grounds include a Forest School, giving children opportunities for outdoor learning and helping them develop a lasting appreciation of the natural world.

Why we joined the OLA

Churchend Primary Academy became a standalone trust in 2011 and developed into a strong and knowledgeable organisation. Joining the Orchard Learning Alliance as a founding member was the next step in its journey, providing opportunities to work with like-minded schools and share expertise for the benefit of all children.

The Orchard Learning Alliance's strong school improvement model and extensive professional learning networks enable staff to learn from others, contribute their own expertise and continually develop educational practice.

As a founding member, Churchend Primary Academy has helped shape the Trust's systems and structures, working alongside other member schools so that children across the Alliance benefit from exceptional teaching and high-quality educational opportunities. The school values the collaborative approach of the Trust while maintaining its unique identity and continuing to serve its local community.

The Orchard Learning Alliance offers a wide and extensive range of professional learning networks from which Churchend is both able to learn from and contribute to so that educational practice is shared and enhanced. This is one of the huge benefits to be gained by working collaboratively while still retraining our unique identity and serving the needs of our local community.
